Dark and Dusky

Hi Readers,
I recently read about the campaign of unfair and lovely.  Honestly magnificent  idea , its high time especially Indians  learn that  beauty is skin deep. You cant be beautiful just because you are fair. I  am Wheatish  and  since childhood i was told not to drink tea  as i am dark, i used to apply fairness creams , lots of pack and as my sister was  a fair the complexities grew more each time and  the end result i am some one who started believing i am not beautiful.   But as i grew  old  and wiser i realized, i am a  bit dark but not ugly  and being fair does not make you  beautiful.

I remember  an incident where  some one told a mother in law  ghar mein lakshmi aayi hai (meaning a daughter in law gets good luck of money when she comes to the house) , and the  mother in law retaliated  and said  Goddess Kali as  the daughter in law was  on the darker  side. I  actually thought of  telling her  dont instigate the wrath/anger of  Goddess kali by criticizing her

Being dark is not a sin but people are being punished for being dark. Even  in the famous novel mills and boons the hero was  characterized as tall, dark and handsome. Yet people want to be fair.

Well  our  society has always been biased and hope it  takes some heed and start looking at person abilities and feature rather then just defining some one by color.

what price are you willing to pay??

Hi  Readers,                      In our lives, we all want something; Let that be love, career, money, happiness.....etc.  But are we pursuing it enough hard to get it??? Most of us fantasize to be successful but are not ready to pay the price to achieve their dreams. I believe that if you really want something you will give in your 100% and nothing less. There is a price of everything even the oxygen that we breathe in is not free, we release carbon dioxide in return. what are you willing to give up in order to achieve what you really want in your life???If you want to get something then you have to lose something. There is a price of success, you need to work very hard in order to get good grades in school, promotion at work, the price can be anything from giving up on your personal life, missing birthdays of your loved ones and festivals or cricket match, movies ....etc. Everyone dreams of success but ...

Change Your Perception

Hello  Readers,                         Well in most of the  house  hold these days we  have  conflicts to the extent that the  family  or  friends  go  days  without talking to each other or even worst don't even  want to see each other.  So what causes such  conflicts ???  when  contemplated, its  basically the perception or view about something. The problem is we all are different people  and  we all have different view about the same subject. A  husband  may feel he has worked enough hard all day in the office and  so need to relax at home. Wife on the other hand  does all household chores and expect husband  to take her out. Both are correct in  their respective places but still there are arguments because of perception.Husband think that wife does easy job and  vice versa. A  gi...

Feeling of Love

Hi Readers,                   Strange is the feeling of love, some feel ditched, some feel left out and some are extremely lucky who get love in return of love.                                There are many aspects of love and I would like to share about some incidents which made me write this article. I have a friend (Mr.X)  and recently for some work of his I asked him to speak with my other female friend(Ms.Y)  and he was like no "i am shy and  I don't talk to girls because they ditch". I was taken back by his line. In one sense it was quite offensive.  so I asked him what makes him say this??? So Mr.X  started like he had eight girlfriends and they all ditched him and he does not trust any girl anymore being inquisitive about it i asked him to tell me about his last girlfriend(8th GF) He told me he met his last ...
